So with xbox live down I gave COD 4 Modern Warefare my first ever single player attempt, I just got to where the nuke goes off after rescuing the chopper pilot,  My question, is there a way not to die when you wake up, I fell a couple of times, ran into the downed chopper blade and died, is there a way not to die?  I tried to replay the mini mission, but I had gone to far and it just loads the next mission,,,

Iknow there are a COD nut or 2 in the forums, anyone know?

umm, loony here! - been a long time since i did the story! - from what i remember you definately die, would stretch the realism a bit to walk away after that one!! i seem to remember crawling around on the ground for a bit before snuffing it - could be wrong though. .

the hardest bit is the showdown by the ferris wheel, seem to remember wasting about 8 hours with a couple of mates trying to beat that on veteran!

it's well worth checking out the vids for modern warfare 2 - looks incredible - between that and forza 3 i'm thinking of taking a year off work!

I don't remember the helio but I do remember the Ferris Wheel scene and it kicked my ass quite a few times...  I finished it myself but it was tough.

I also played competitive co-op with Beef, Speedy this weekend it was really fun.  I'd like to give that a go again especially since it gave you XP without having to deal with the pain the ass kids online.
